It was not necessary to solve all of the clues to figure out what was going on. The only one among these ladies' first names that repeats exactly is "Dorothy" which repeats seven times. The companion puzzle to this one was a connect-the-Dots. The numbers of the Dorothys in this puzzle were the Dots that should be connected in the other one.

The correct order of the dots could be determined in two ways, either by alphabetizing the last name, or by watching which letters were given away in each Dorothy's first name.
